Venue Hire

Prices shown are for hirers from April 2019* onwards. *Different rates apply until 31 March 2019 which have a slightly lower than advertised rate with the exception of Saturday evenings which are being reduced from April 2019.       Book your party early!    

 

The Costessey Centre

Four rooms to hire over two floors with shared use of the first floor Rymarz Gallery (not bookable). A lift is available to access the first floor. 

 

  • Ground floor Stafford Hall has sprung floor and two kitchens, both with servery hatch to hall. One kitchen will have limited access if a bar is provided.

  • Tables in two different sizes and chairs provided. A stack-a-stage can be used at no additional charge, but you have to hire the room for additional set  up time. There are ten pieces approx 1m square, go to http://stackastage.com/ 

  • First floor has three carpeted rooms with shared use of a small kitchen and the gallery.

  • The car park is shared with the recreational grounds.

Rooving microphone available, but hirer must provide own 9v battery

Not Included: Hirers must bring their own leads/converters and book time to set the room out themselves. 


Note: There are limitations preventing two separate devices being used for sound & vision simultaneously

Included: Supanova screen with Projector & two small speakers. 3.5mm AUX output and VGA connectivity with two options for location of own equipment (floor box in centre of room or cabinet to side of screen)

Ideal for Board Room style meetings and can be set out theatre style with no tables and 24 chairs facing the presenter. Shared use of gallery at intervals.

Ideal for small workshops and interviews as candidates can wait in Rymarz Gallery.

Please note - Local Osteopath leaves treatment bed in this room.  

Where is the venue located?

 

Queen's Hills Community Centre

Dinneen Hall has sprung floor, lectern, projector and large supanova screen. AV has HDMI/VGA connectivity. There is a kitchen with servery hatch to hall which is shared with the Denby Room. A second servery area can be used unless you have hired a bar. The Dinneen Hall is suitable for a bouncy castle. 

 

Denby Meeting Room is carpeted with HDMI 49 inch Screen. The hall has communal lockers, two changing rooms, Air- Con and free Wi-Fi.

Dinneen Hall tables are in three sizes and chairs are included in your hire.

Breckland Hall & The Owen Barnes Room

Breckland Hall is the bigger room with a stage*, HDMI 49 inch screen and kitchen with servery. It is not suitable for bouncy castles. 

 

The Owen Barnes Room has an HDMI 49 inch screen and a separate kitchen with servery and is suitable for a  bouncy castle. 

*Sorry stage is not accessible to wheelchair users except from an external ramp.

Included: 49 inch Screen with sound bar & HDMI connectivity.  TV remote control &  subwoofer needs be collected from The Costessey Centre

Not Included: Hirers must bring their own leads/converters to convert from VGA/DVI.

Hirers must book time to set the room out themselves.

 

Note: The TV is situated on a side wall which is suitable for presentations up to approx. 36 seated

Where is the venue located?

 

Bar Hire / Alcohol on our premises 

Sorry no alcohol on our premises without prior written consent. 80% of bar profits to the Whitwell & Reepham Railway Preservation Trust and 20% to Costessey Town Council.  

A bar is provided by the licensee Mike Urry. Please contact him to discuss your requirements on:

A £95.00 deposit is returnable on the evening of your event once the bar gets to £95.00 of sales. Card payments accepted. The licensee has the right to check events for alcohol consumption at anytime during any hire.

Bouncy Castles welcome at the Stafford Hall, Owen Barnes Room & Dinneen Hall. Evidence of public liability insurance is required in advance.

 

£60.00 to £100.00 Damage Deposit required for all bookings. This will be returned to the hirer (name on the booking form) by cheque within 14 days of event if no problems reported. One month notice in writing is required to cancel a booking without a charge. A contract will be sent to all hirers and includes all Terms & Conditions.      

Payments can be made by cash/cheque at Town Council Office, First Floor, The Costessey Centre, Longwater Lane, NR8 5AH. Sorry no card payments. Caretakers do not accepted payments. A silver letter box is outside the front door at The Costessey Centre, Longwater Lane. Car Park gates are open 6:30am to 10:30pm

Bank Transfer 20-62-68 70291331 Please quote your invoice number or ask the office for a booking reference.         All rates include VAT. Please request a VAT invoice if you require one.                                                                                 Note - Higher rates apply to Corporate Bookings and discounts for regular hirers are at the discretion of the Town Council.

CCTV at all of our premises. The hirer will be charged if an event overrun.  

No alcohol to be brought onto our premises for either sale or consumption without prior consent in writing from Mike Urry the licensee.
