The cemetery opened in 1988 and in 2016 we purchased the land at the rear to extend the site in the future. Non-residents pay triple fees. We only allow the use of certain grave diggers. We have rooms at halls we manage nearby for gatherings. 

Allotments

 

There is a waiting list for the allotments located on West End, Costessey which are managed by the Trustees of the Parochial Charity. Play Areas with equipment 

 

Breckland Road, Breydon Drive, Gunton Lane, Husenbeth Close & Longwater Lane.

We have also agreed to take on the four play areas at Queen's Hills and the

solicitors are working on the legal transfer. 

 

Land, Buildings & Monuments 

We have to publish a list of everything we own and when it was acquired. The last time we purchased land was in 2016. We also sold a small piece to widen a 'merge in' on the A1074  

 

Open Spaces & Woodlands   

 

We manage large open spaces at  Breckland Road, Husenbeth Close & Longwater Lane where dogs must be kept on leads. Woodlands we manage are at Bunkers Hill accessed from West Close or Highlow Road , Greenhills Woods accessed from The Croft or Townhouse Road & The Old Cricket Ground accessed from 210 West End opposite Brickfield Loke. South Norfolk Council manages Easthills Woods accessed from Longdell Hills, Longwater Lane or Middleton Crescent.
