IMMEDIATE AND SPECIFIC SHORT TERM ACTIONS
- Bring to the attention of the elected representatives on the Parish, District and County Councils the comments that they are not responsive to local concerns.
- Pass on concerns regarding the need for baby, breast feeding and family planning clinics, chiropractor, sheltered housing, nursing home, etc. to relevant agencies.
- Inform schools of comments regarding their performance and activities.
- Inform nurseries of the comments made about the needs of working parents and encourage them to find ways of addressing them.
- The High School should be encouraged to consider providing further adult education classes
- Inform the police fire and ambulance services about the questionnaire responses.
- Encourage the sports club to promote and publicise its activities.
- Retain and improve the existing tennis courts.
- Analyse the returns on television reception and inform providers.
- Investigate provision of a bus service to the hospital.
- Investigate improved accessibility to NHS dental care.
- Recommend the formation of a rambling club which would also be involved in footpath matters.
- Promote the setting up of a gardening club.
- Encourage the expansion of employment opportunities in the parish.
- Explore alternative uses for the Parish Room.
- Explore the acquisition of appropriate land for a meadow/woodland burial site.
