What has been achieved:

 

Outline planning permission obtained

 

Section 106 agreement with the Lodge Farm developers - £500,000 (yet to be honoured as only 130 of the 200 house completions have been achieved - as of February 2009)

 

£   100,000 Funds set aside by the Parish Council

 

£     40,000 grant from NEWS

 

£     40,000 grant from Biffa Environmental Services

 

£      95,591 grant from DCSF

 

£        7,500 grant from Norfolk Rural Communities Council  

 

£       5,000 grant + Full collaboration with South Norfolk Council

 

£       2,400 - User groups

 

£   222,591 - the Football Foundation

 

£1,000,000  -  borrowed from the Public loans Board by the Parish Council

 

Letters asking for financial help from all the large business’ in Costessey have resulted in one offer of help: Kettles Foods have kindly said they will support the purchase of equipment

What do we still need?

 

More money? - another £ 150,000 as there are still parts of the overall scheme to complete: a new young children's playground, re-furbished tennis courts and a new grounds mans store and workshop.
